We are seeking a skilled and motivated R&D Fabrication Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and optimizing fabrication processes, addressing technological challenges, and advancing the next generation of superconducting QPUs. You will receive training to become part of one of the world’s leading teams in QPU and quantum circuit development, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge techniques and state-of-the-art fabrication tools.

The impact of the role
As an R&D Fabrication Engineer at QuantWare, you will be key in refining fabrication routines, optimizing device performance, ensuring the reliability and reproducibility of QuantWare’s QPUs, and exploring novel nanofabricated components. Your role involves exploring new technological solutions and methods to enhance fabrication efficiency, delivering high-performing QPUs that meet industry demands.
Staying ahead in quantum hardware requires constant innovation. As part of the R&D Fabrication team at QuantWare, you will drive advancements in fabrication techniques, improving workflows and implementing cutting-edge methods to keep QuantWare at the forefront of the industry. Your unique perspective and work will be essential in maintaining our competitive edge in driving the advent of the quantum computer.
What are you going to do?
Continuously improve our fabrication workflow with feedback from our fabrication and characterization team.
Improve high standard protocol for fabrication of QPUs.
Investigate new materials, fabrication methods and technological solutions to improve device metrics, yield and reproducibility over time.
Research and miniaturise nanofabricated superconducting 3D components such as airbridges and TSVs.
Stay up to date with and implement state-of-the art research in a commercial setting.
