Your mission
QuantWare is seeking an Application Scientist to help our customers build the best quantum computers using our quantum hardware products. You will be the bridge between our products and customers, ensuring their success by crafting tailored roadmaps and solutions, sharing technical expertise, and proactive engagement. This role is pivotal to helping customers unlock the full potential of our quantum hardware.
We are looking for application scientists that have hands-on experience in working with superconducting qubit systems. This position provides a unique opportunity to work with quantum hardware, support world-class researchers and companies, and help shape the future of quantum computing applications.
Your profile
Key Responsibilities:
Being a trusted advisor to our customers, developing tailored roadmaps that align their goals with QuantWare’s product offerings.
Provide expert support to customers integrating our quantum hardware into their systems, including on-site visits for setup, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate closely with R&D teams to build hands-on expertise with our products and contribute to ongoing product improvements.
(Co-)author white papers and scientific publications to demonstrate the capabilities and impact of our products.
Represent QuantWare at conferences and customer engagements around the world.
Act as a conduit for feedback from users, working with product teams to refine and enhance our offerings.
Provide scientific mentorship to sales and customer success teams.
Qualifications:
While we understand the perfect candidate might not exist, if you check most of the boxes below, we’d love to hear from you:
PhD in experimental quantum computing (with a focus on superconducting qubits) or equivalent industry experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build customer trust and collaboration.
A hands-on mentality and a proactive approach to helping customers achieve success with our products.
Strong interest in staying up-to-date with scientific literature on quantum technology, especially superconducting qubits.
Willingness to travel for customer visits, technical setups, and conferences.
Affinity for customer engagement, with experience in sales or marketing being a plus but not required.
Charismatic, enthusiastic, and outgoing, with excellent interpersonal skills.
